An overview of our boats
You will know it when you see it, is an old saying. As soon as you see it, you will know which
motorboat makes your heart beat faster! So it is no longer just empty talk, we will let
numbers, facts and data, but above all pictures, speak for themselves. Here are some
floating “appetizers”.
Do I have to rent the boat for the entire vacation?
Of course not. You can make the decision. After all, it's your vacation in paradise. The
minimum rental is only one day. It's not worth it if you take it less anyway. How long you want to
rent he boat beyond that, depends on your plans. The longer you want to rent the boat,
the more recommendable it is to make a reservation in advance.
How will the boat get to the vacation villa?
It is very relaxing. At least for you. Unless the owner of the villa provides a boat for you,
we will bring the rental boat directly to the dock behind your house. After a short
instruction take the helm for the first time. And here we are, right in the wake of the great
discoverers.
May I digress for a moment: The Spaniards, who came to the island in 1513 and who called
Florida after the easterly festival Florida. In fact, already 10000 years before people have lived here.

Which conditions have to be met to rent a vacation home with a boat?
The hurdles for renting and moving a boat in public waters in Florida are relatively low.
The main limitation: Your age. You have to be at least 21 years old. There are no restrictions
for people whose birthday is before January 1st, 1988.
Do I need a boating license?
If you are born before January 1st, 1988, you do not need a boating license. If you are born after January
1st, 1988 you will need a so called Boating Safety Identification Card for boats with more than 10 hp.
This card can be purchased locally.
What about insurance for the rental boat?
You do not have to be an experienced skipper to sail the waterways of Florida with one of our
boats. Nevertheless, something can always happen. Then, of course, there is the question ….
Am I insured in Cape Coral, Florida, USA?
You are. All boats that you rent from us are covered by a third party insurance and
comprehensive insurance.
Our supplementary umbrella insurance
What the ADAC is for motorists in Germany, in this country the Sea Tow is for the "stranded"
skipper. Also in Florida. It does not matter whether you ran out of fuel, the battery broke down
or you underestimated the depth of the water. The Sea Tow members are professionals and
always on hand when the recreational captain needs a helping hand. 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. Unlike the liability and the comprehensive insurance, Sea Tow has its own boats,
which in an emergency will arrive as soon as possible to help. Then you will feel much safer.
When it comes to boats and luxury villas with a pool in Cape Coral, you are in good hands with us and our competent boat team!
Of course we will not desert you in your hour of need with your rented boat. Our employees are experienced boaters. They would like to give you some of their know-how. It is not enough if you return the boat to us at the end of your vacation. We want you to come with a laughing and a crying eye, just because the best vacation of your life is over.
What happens during an instruction lesson for the boat?
Training and briefing sound like a lot of theory and boredom. Let’s be honest, no one needs
that when you are on vacation. You do not have to expect a dry lecture about your boat in
your vacation home. We prefer "learning by doing”, but this learning will be carried out by
professionals. Captain Oliver Piskulic or Carsten Siebert will pick you up at your villa. From
that moment on you can feel a bit like Captain Cook. Through the canals right out to the sea.
In this way you are not only familiar with the local way of doing things. You will also learn
how to dock and undock the boat - and this is very important - how to refuel at one of the
three boat gas stations in Cape Coral. After this introduction, you will operate the boat with
the same ease as with your car at home.
How about a captain's tour?
Do you want to get to know the waterways of Florida, but do not want to drive the boat?
Then book a captain's tour. Treat yourself to a breathtaking exploration tour to fantastic
vacation destinations, leaving the technology and smell of machine oil to others.
Are you already curious what awaits you with your boat in Cape Coral?
Florida is different. Unlike anything you've read in travel guides about the US before.
Unlike New York, unlike Los Angeles, unlike the Midwest. Florida is in many regards as
if you had glued a Caribbean island to the American mainland. After two days you will
have the feeling that you never want to leave. Florida is diversity, in a way that can
hardly be found anywhere else. As a tourist, at these temperatures even a T-shirt is too
much to wear and you feel like bowing to the locals who with stoic composure rush to
work at 95 degrees Fahrenheit with a suit and a tie. Skyscrapers are eager to join
landscapes that could come from Jurassic Park. Pink street cruisers from the 60s share
the highways with modern small cars. The first impression is already overwhelming.
But that is nothing compared to the experience of a boat trip that await the vacationers.
You can still go to the pool afterwards.
Manatee and Dolphin Watching in Cape Coral
Of course you have seen dolphins at the zoo. But in the ocean? Only here you get an
impression of how such an animal must feel in a small wading pool. It really isn’t much
more than that in an aquarium for these proud sea creatures. In their ancestral habitat
dolphins swim unbelievable distances every day. And with speeds that in city traffic
would be reason for a fine. Dolphin watching is therefore for many Florida visitors an
absolute highlight of their vacation. The same applies to manatees, the trichechidaes.
The manatees in contrast to the lively dolphins attract attention by their rather sedate
nature.
Sanibel and Captiva Island. A vacation from your vacation!
High-rise buildings, night-life, booming street noise? These islands are very far away
from all that! Whoever would like to get an idea of how our grandparents still
experienced Florida, you are in the right place on these islands. Here, the clocks tick
completely differently. The island’s website assumes that both places Sanibel and
Captiva were still connected some 6,000 years ago. Also, it is said that the Spanish
conquerors have been unable to take the island permanently. But the diseases,
which they introduced, including yellow fever and tuberculosis, had devastating
consequences for the local population. But that is a long time ago. Sanibel and
Captiva Island have long been hotspots for tourists. The islands also exert a magical
attraction for lovers. This is why they are a popular place for marriages.
Estero Island
In front of Fort Myers lies the small island of Estero Island. A destination that is
popular not only with tourists. The locals also like to come here to dine in the
dapper restaurants to enjoy a meal. From Estero Island it is only a stone's throw to
the Everglades.
Cayo Costa
Miles of unspoiled sandy beaches in the Gulf of Mexico. And only two ways to get
there …. Either by ferry or ... your own boat. That puts you in the lead. If you want to
spend another night on Cayo Costa after a romantic walk in this idyllic setting, you
can rent a cabin with the park’s management. This is maybe not quite as comfortable
as the bedrooms in our luxury villas, but very romantic nonetheless.
Boca Grande
Boca Grand is the largest city of Gasparilla Island. An island that runs parallel to the
mainland, a so-called barrier island. Boca Grande is not only popular for fishermen
and tourists but also among seniors, who spend their twilight years here in peace,
because hustle and bustle is frowned upon here. Even car traffic is not an issue
on this island.
Beaches and berthings around Cape Coral
There are more than enough of them all around Cape Coral. The Cape Coral Beach is
almost at your doorstep. It fits into the picturesque landscape in an inimitable way
and invites you to a relaxing beach day. Alone, with friends or with the family. The
beach of Fort Myers is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts, be it jet skiing,
windsurfing or parasailing. Whoever loves fun sports will get their money’s worth
here. But also for families with children Fort Myers Beach is ideal. Another
destination worth visiting is Naples. “To see and to be seen" that’s what it is all
about here. In Naples wealthy retirees and numerous well-known personalities
have found a home. So it is not surprising to see a celebrity while exploring Naples,
and you cannot shake the feeling of:"I've seen this face before on TV". To list all the
beaches accessible by boat from your house is quite impossible. There are just too
many. From the famous dream beaches to small insider tips. You can also actually
get there, because the inhabitants are so proud of these small reserves that they
like to show them off to interested tourists. Of course, our captain has a few
recommendations for you too, that you won’t find in a travel guide. When you relax in
the evening by the pool of one of our villas after one of these wonderful tours you will
feel like you are at home.

How about getting a little Florida feeling in advance?
Then you should be getting that too. The anticipation actually is part of an eventful
vacation as well as the weeks spent in Florida. We want to prepare you for that. Do
you remember Miami Vice, the cult series of the 80s? Millions of people dreamed at
that time to cruise on the seemingly endless highways of the Sunshine state like the
main character James "Sonny" Crockett. There are places that radiate their own
magic. Florida is one of those rare spots on the map. The geographic location alone
promises a fairytale vacation under mostly bright blue sky. Only Hawaii is located
even more south of all the US States. In spring and summer, the daytime
temperatures are rarely below 87 degrees Fahrenheit. Even in winter, there is a
pleasant climate. Nowhere in the world but in Florida can you have a private pool
in front of your bedroom. Although Florida is only one state besides 49 others,
even the more adventurous tourists should not underestimate its vastness.
The offshore peninsula and the so-called panhandle mainland together are almost
half of the size of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is all the more important after
a strenuous adventure tour to one of the numerous destination to be able to return
to a place where your body as well as your mind can relax. But if you should feel like
going on a long shopping trip, you can do so in one of the many shopping malls or in
an outlet mall. Further highlights can be found in Orlando, about 3 hours away, with
its many theme parks, for example Disney World and Magic Kingdom, or also in Fort
Lauderdale. By the way, Gerd Müller, Germany’s famous “bomber” found his second
home after his career here. His restaurant ”Ambry" which opened in 1981, even has
Weisswurst (white sausage) and Leberkäs (liver loaf) on the menu. The restaurant
is still on Commercial Blvd. and the new owners are proud of the various German
beers on tap. You should plan around 2 hours for this trip. Do you want to pack your
bags right away? In your mind’s eye are you already planning to reserve one of the
bedrooms in one of our luxury villas? Can you already feel the pool and feel the sun rays
on your skin? Then don’t hesitate. Get in touch with us so we can plan an unforgettable
vacation together. We are looking forward to meeting you!
